Questions of interest to current YO! Staff & Fantastics, STARS & Stewards:
What are the responsibilities of Fantastic Four, Neighbors and Stewards?
See these job descriptions/responsibility lists for more information! Fantastics, STARs & Stewards
Can
I sleep in during camp?
Ha! You're kidding, right?
Neither rain nor snow nor sleet nor raccoons nor sleep shall keep you from doing
everything humanly possible to make the week of camp the best possible experience
for the 6th graders, their teachers, the counselors, the senior counselors,
and the remainder of the staff, especially Moses!
Can
I go to bed early each night?
Oh, another good question,
NOT! You will NOT go to bed until all sixth graders are snoozing, the counselors
in your assigned area are tucked into bed, the YO! Staff and Moses have met,
and you have had your time of acting goofy in the privacy of your own quarters.
Then and only then may you go to bed.
Why
does camp always have to be for the 6th graders; can't YO! Staff have a camp
just for us?
(It's a good thing you and
I know that you've never ever asked this question!) Camp is for the 6th graders!
When everyone works as hard as s/he possibly can for the 6th graders, then everyone
has an incredible time at camp also. Without the 6th graders, all of us would
have a terribly boring, meaningless time!
Do
we have more fundraisers scheduled, or do we have enough money now into infinity?
Unless you know of someone
who might donate several hundred thousand dollars so that TCODS could function
off of the interest, we are doing more fundraisers. The Steak Dinner and Silent
Auction is tentatively scheduled to begin at 5:00 on November 5th, 2010, at Wirick Hall of the Church of the Nazarene on 3rd Street in
Tillamook. Note that this date is a Friday evening as the Saturday is unavailable this year. This is a wonderful social time in addition to raising money for ODS.
Do
we get a raise in our wages this year?
How about instead of a raise,
you can have 100 times what you make now, okay! 100 X $0.00 = $0.00!
What
forms do I need for camp?
Each YO!
needs to read the Outdoor School Rules for Adults
and be prepared to sign the Outdoor School Memorandum
of Understanding. Also, download the Adult
Health Form, fill it out, and take it to camp with you. Checkout the Adult Forms Page!
You can download a copy of the suggested Adult Clothing List and the Adult Clothing Checklist. & Information for Families
