(Note that lines take the place of personal information. The purpose is to share honest comments about the counselors' experiences, not breach any confidentiality. 2. What does your son or daughter talk about the most in conversations about camp?
- ______ talks about the whole experience. The kids, the counselors. Was just awesome for ________. Memories for a lifetime.
- Whining girls! (Note that this high school student counselor was female.)
- The intense emotions during the meetings and how hard that was. How to deal with people in pain - felt helpless in a way. Tried to be supportive. Talks about the piggy-back rides ___ gave ___ kids, how ___ tried to support them and set positive boundaries. How different it was from last year.
- _____ talks about certain campers - how by the end of the week how he appreciated others.
- _____ had such a wonderful time. He loved being with the kids, thought they were great, except when _____ got woke up at 1:00 AM to go to the bathroom. _____ loved the food!
- _____ kids and the strong bonds _____ developed. The fun and the deep conversations. _____ heart has changed for the better. ____ stated _____ opportunity to better know others, breaking old impressions. Seeing others in a positive light.
- The other HS students and their growth. She maintains deep friendships with several of the other students.
- New friends, stories/struggles or others at camp. How moving it was in general.
