May 2004 - "My ODS experiences have played a huge role in how I live my life. Thank you for that." Turtle (This was written at the end of a wonderful letter written by Turtle to family and friends upon her graduation from U of O.)
June 2004 - "ODS has inspired my dreams & goals. Thank you for working so hard to keep it alive. I love you." (This was written at the end of another wonderful letter written by Nova/Static to family and friends upon her graduation from Nestucca.)
February 2005 - "ODS
is a marvelous place. This past year I was fairly tired and walking through
the kitchen when a couple of kitchen staff, Sunflower and Noodle, caught me
and asked if I was doing okay. I told them I was just tired, but it felt nice
knowing that there are people watching out for each other.
I go out each year and get donations for ODS. The businesses around Tillamook
County are tremendous. They provide an awesome amount of goods so the camp doesn't
have to purchase them, thereby keeping the cost to students minimal. Many of
the businesses are looking for me in the late summer, early fall because they
want to be supportive to ODS. That speaks volumes of the program and the people
that have gone through ODS. Many have been impacted and their memories are fond
of ODS. Like the song says... Giving's not subtracting, it's adding don't you
see...." Yogi
